My Mom always made the best pies. Her pie crusts were so perfect and flaky....not too thick. She made Raisin, Lemon , Apple, Peach, Banana and Coconut Cream pies. My favorite had to be the Raisin and Lemon pies but I know each sibling had their own favorite.
So when I saw this image, Annies Pie, at Tiddly Inks I had to have it. Tiddly Inks is our sponsor this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. I love their Annie Images.
The other day I was at Joanns and saw this darling paper pack from K and Company. Since this wasn't a Christmas image I used some papers from that pack. I picked my papers by the flowers that were in Annie's dress.
I hope you will run over to Tiddly Inks and check out their digis. They have new ones every month. Then head on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and check out my Design Teams fab creations.
Hope you are having a SWEET day and thanks so much for all your SWEET Comments.
This is a fantastic card Arlana! I love when you can get papers that perfectly coordinate with the images you're using like you've done here. Her dress is a perfect match the way you've colored it. I thought at first it was paper pieced! And your embellishments and punches all fit the theme too! Simply outstanding! I love your story of your mom's pies. I've always thought my mom's pie crust was the best ever also! kMy favorite that she makes is blueberry pie but she also makes a delicious banana cream too! My stomach is now growling - pie for breakfast sounds good to me right now!

Hi Arlana, Happy Birthday to another Sagittarius, my birthday was last week, they say we don't hold back and are very creative.
ReplyDeleteLove your card, I have another of those images with the heart and it's super sweet. I adore your papers and colours great card. I think my mum's pies were the best, she would use a sweet short crust pastry, apple, apple and Blueberry, Apricot and apple, Blackberry and apple, Baked Custard Pie and yes we all had our favourites as well and mum would bake for the day a put it into the deepfreeze as I'm one of 7 children. So instead of cutting one pie for dinner she would cut what ever we loved for that person, yes we were spoiled weren't we? Great sketch this week.

ReplyDeleteHi Arlana, I hope you have had a wonderful day. Your card is so sweet. I love the paper piecing and super cute paper. That really is a fun pack. Darling flower and border punch. Mom's pies were the best. I always loved the peach pies that she made in that big pan...I can almost taste it now. With a great big scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. That was my favorite. Wow...I would give anything to have a piece right now.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Arlana! I think I liked all of Mom's pies...You forgot the cherry pies that she use to make too! As I loved thoses also! My favorites were probably coconut cream, raisin and cherry! But I did love them all!!!!! Arlana, your Annie card is adorable! I love the Sweetness button or brad that you used. Can't wait to see it! It is so perfect for your card! I do need to use my new nestis and border punch that you used in this card! Hope you are feeling better!
