Blog Candy Giveaway

Depth Perecption Caardvarks

I want to do the challenge over at Caardvarks this week.

THE CHALLENGE
Create a 3-D paper crafting project. It can be an interactive card, book, gift bag, trinket box, home decor item, altered anything...

Well and if you know me well enough I love making altered projects or just coming up with my own patterns and designs. I have been needing to make a house photo album for awhile now. This idea has been in my head for some time now and I needed to get it done. I wanted this album so I could add photos of my new house. We did most of the work on our house and as did my father in law. I will also be making him one. I may do his slightly different. As I think I want it to say this is the house that Dad built.
Most of the supplies used for this project came form Stampin Up. I just love there roller stamps. Eastern Blooms was perfect to make make my tree with. None of the other trees were big enough. I knew I wanted a tree. I think this turned out perfect. Exactly the look I was going for.
Supplies:
Stamps : Eastern Blooms, Neighborhood, Lovely Letters
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Bella Rose , Chocolate Chip Pattern Series
Embellishments: Chip Board, Build a Brad,Vintage Brads, 5/8 Striped Grosgrain, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Bind it All

Hope you enjoyed both of my post today. Be sure to Check out my blog candy. I will be running it longer then I originally said. Have a sweet wonderful day!!!
BLOG CANDY GIVEWAY

Baby Shower Invites

My daughter is having a new baby in July and I was asked by one of her friend if I would make the baby shower invites. Of course I said yes. I have been waiting for a Papertray set to arrive from Canada . But I finally knew I couldn't wait any more. So I used my cute set from Stampin Up. I think they turned out adorable. The minute my daughter saw them today she was so excited. So I was happy that she liked them. She having a boy so I need to make them more boyish. It is so easy to fuss them up with ribbon and flowers. But I knew I couldn't uses that. So I add buttons instead and some sew pleated paper.

Supplies:
Stamps: Baby Talk , Hugs and Wishes
Ink: Pacific Point , Certainly Celery
Paper: Pacific Point, Whisper White, My Minds Eye
Embellishments: Top Note Su, Scollop Circle 2 SU, Martha Stewart Circle Cutter,Thread , DCVW Buttons

I made all 22 of these cards in about 3 1/2 hours. From start to finish. They were fairly easy and fast to put together. If I had of done some distressing on them it would have taken much longer. I also debated on cutting out and popping up the buggy. But decided they were cute just they way they were. Don't forget to check out my blog candy I may change the date and run it a little longer. So if you get a chance take a look and enter.

BLOG CANDY GIVEAWAY

Today is June 2 and in memory of my Mom's Birthday today I am doing a Blog Candy Giveaway. Its been 4 years since she passed away. I just did a post about my Mom on Memorial Day weekend. You can find the post here. My sisters were so touched that they also did posts in memory of my Mom. You can find there post here and here.

I was thinking about how much I miss my Mom and all the special thing that she did for me and others. She was a very giving person. Always gave with her whole heart. It was a special quality I admired about my Mom.

My Mom had a beautiful rose garden. So many beautiful roses but one rose bush was her favorite. The roses she loved the most were called Double Delight. They are a mingled color. Oh so sweet and beautiful.
I made a memory box in honor of my Mom. This is a picture of her when she was young and so beautiful. She always looked to me like she could have been a movie star. But then she was a star in our eyes. I really do miss those special time that I spent with her.

The memory box has some hand made paper flowers in it . They were so fun to create. I wanted to make them look as much like the double delight as I could remember.

Then I also wanted to make her a quick card form the Fifth Avenue Floral set.
I did sponge daubing on the flower in Riding Hood Red and Tangerine Tango. Embellished with ribbon and rhinestones. Since my mom was a very kind and giving person I used the sentiment from Roses In Winter.
So here's the scoop to be entered in the Blog Candy Giveaway.
Rules
