Today is June 2 and in memory of my Mom's Birthday today I am doing a Blog Candy Giveaway. Its been 4 years since she passed away. I just did a post about my Mom on Memorial Day weekend. You can find the post here. My sisters were so touched that they also did posts in memory of my Mom. You can find there post here and here.
My Mom had a beautiful rose garden. So many beautiful roses but one rose bush was her favorite. The roses she loved the most were called Double Delight. They are a mingled color. Oh so sweet and beautiful.
I made a memory box in honor of my Mom. This is a picture of her when she was young and so beautiful. She always looked to me like she could have been a movie star. But then she was a star in our eyes. I really do miss those special time that I spent with her.The memory box has some hand made paper flowers in it . They were so fun to create. I wanted to make them look as much like the double delight as I could remember.
Then I also wanted to make her a quick card form the Fifth Avenue Floral set.
I did sponge daubing on the flower in Riding Hood Red and Tangerine Tango. Embellished with ribbon and rhinestones. Since my mom was a very kind and giving person I used the sentiment from Roses In Winter. So here's the scoop to be entered in the Blog Candy Giveaway.

You will have to teach us how to make the roses. That reminds me of the time when Mom taught us to make the large poppy flowers. Happy Birthday, Mom! Wish you were here with us!
