Sweet Taste of Winter

Well, I know that I'm not ready for winter and I'm sure most of you are not either. But I couldn't resist doing these darling penguins for Digi Stamp Boutique. Sally Ann is sponsoring us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. It was so fun working with these images. I knew the moment I saw them that I wanted to do all four in one card. I wanted to use my new nesties. It was a little tricky at first getting the perfect size but it did work. That's one nice thing about digis. You can make them any size you would like.

Well, actually the sun is shining here and it very hot today. So a little cooler weather might be just dandy. I have been in the mood to do Christmas cards and also want to get started on fall cards too. Ckeck out Digi Stamp Boutique and you definitely will find some darling fall and Christmas images.

The design team has really gone all out this week and we have a darling lineup. I hope you will join me over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday, Have a Berry Sweet Day!!!

Celebrate

It's another week gone by here. This week Sweet Sketch Wednesday is being sponsored by Pixie Dust Studios. As I had the opportunity to pick out images, I fell in love with this Uncle Sam image. I knew even though it was past the 4th of July I still wanted to do this image. Don't you just love how Uncle Sam turns out? Pixie Dust Studio is offering our prize winner a gift of 2 digital images of their choice. You will want to make sure you run over and check out Pixie Dust Studio.

While my sister, Judi, was here she got me hook on these metal embellishments. So I had to buy a few. I love the look of them on this project. We were able to find them at Joann's. So I was happy about that. Then my star came from my cuttlebug embossing folder. The stars works so well cut out.

Well, we will be celebrating Stockton Days soon. My husband and I are preparing for our first Dutch Oven Cook Off with two more coming in September at the Fair. My husband loves to dutch oven cook and this is something he has been wanting to do for awhile now. Here is a pic of some rolls we are making. We have been doing a lot of practicing to get ready.

I think we are using less cheese on our next rolls...maybe even back to the cubes which I have always used in the oven. There are also onions on top. Such a yummy roll. Turns out great in the dutch oven.

Well, thanks for dropping by this week. Hope you have been well feed looking at my blog and all the inspiration I have here. I hope you will also run over and check out Sweet Sketch Wednesday Design Teams inspiration. Have a sweet day!!!

Thistle Hair The Christmas Bear

Well, we're here! We are on to another week. My, does the time fly fast! I have not gotten many comments made this week on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog as I have been sick. So I apologize for that. One of my main goals for my sweet Sketch Wednesday Blog is to see that we get our posting done to all DT and players. I have Fibromaliga and when I get hit with it badly, I usually have to crash. I do alot of sleeping and just the basic stuff that I need to keep up on to make my household run. Then Tuesday I was planning on posting comments at the last minute but ended up making our sketches to keep up with that. It's alot of work keeping my blogs up and running.

Well, on to this week's sketch. When I saw this cute bear I knew I had to do it. I just adored the whole thing and I love the darling added tree that the bear is holding. I love Christmas time and I happen to Love country music. Thus the title of my blog post from Alabama Thistle Hair The Christmas Bear...One of my all time favorite Christmas songs.

Our sponsor this week is Di's Digis Downloads. I fell in love with her digis the moment I found her site. She has tons of darling Digis to choose from. You will want to go over and check out Di's Digi's Downloads. The Design team has cooked up some really fun cards this week using Di"s Digis Downloads. The prize for playing along with my sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday is 5 digis. So why don't you run on over and play along when you're done here.

My next card for Di's Digis Downloads is the darling hello - lady bird. You'll notice she has a darling dog beside her feet. Well, this looks and remind me alot of my dog, Thor. He always likes to be next to my feet or following me. I found the daring rhinestones at Michaels. I had a heart punch I used to add more wings to the back of the rhinestone butterflies.

I hope you have enjoyed today line up of cards and that you will have fun playing along with my stetch. Thanks for stopping by and hope your day willl be filled with Sweetness.
