Let It Snow

Well outside, the snow has been falling and it's winter wonderland here today. It's also very cold outside. I live in a country setting and it is so beautiful looking outside. What a fun time of year! Gets you in the mood for Christmas. Makes it so much fun while creating Christmas gifts.

Sunday we are having a family Christmas party and I have lots to do this week to get ready...making fleece blankets and dinos for the grandkids. So fun!  I know they will be so excited.

This week's sponsor over at my Sweeth Sketch Wednesday blog is Bee Crafty. Such a cute name for their fun digis. Merrigan is offering up 3 free digis to the winner. You will want to run over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and make sure you play along. Also be sure to check out all the fun images you can purchase at Bee crafty.

I had such a fun time with Merrigan's images. This first image was meant to be a summer image. But I keep wanting to make it a Christmas  image. I could only image the snow falling as she is looking up. Don't you think it was a great idea? I just love this card. The next card really went with the summer theme and the bright colors along with the butterflies.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today . Hope you are enoying the holiday feeling that is in the air . Have a berry sweet winter day!!!

Muffins for Christmas

Hope you all had a sweet time at Thanksgiving with family and friends. Ours turned out very nice as we made a dutch oven turkey for Thanksgiving. It was marinated in an herb and garlic marinate. The flavor was so yummy. I should have taken a picture to post.

Today is Sweet Sketch Wednesday and our sponsor for this week is  Whimsie Doodle. The sweet designs have been made by Melyssa. She is the owner of Whimsie Doodle.  We have been having such a fun time with our new sponsors and being able to design with all their fun new images. I fell in love with this one: "I'm getting muffins for Christmas. I also made a Double Take for this week as I wasn't sure how the images would work in the small circles. But as you can see alot of us made it work in both sketches. That's the fun thing about digis. You can print in almost any size you need.

The Winner of the Week for my sketch blog will receive Snow Angel and Underwear for Christmas. I hope you will run over to Sweet  Sketch Wednesday  and play along. These images that you can win are just too cute. They are also for sale in the Whimsie Doodle Shop. Don't you just love how mine turned out? They were just too fun to play with.

Thanks for joining me this week and checking out my site. I really enjoy all the sweet comments. Hope you are crafting away and getting ready for the holidays!!!

Holiday Spirit

Well, Halloween is over. I hope you all had a fun and enjoyable Halloween. Our church had a Chili cook off and a Trunk or Treat. Last year my husband won first place at the chili cook off.  Well, this year I entered the chili cook off for my husband as he had to work. I actually enterd two chili recipes and this year we came in second and fourth place. I am allergic to certain spices so I was only able to taste the chili that won fourth place. I went by what my husband told me to put in his recipe as last year we added some extra ingredients that were not written on the recipe. Later my husband reminded me that I had forgotten the three most important ingredients. So next year we shall try to get our first place back again. Second place is not too bad though! There were about 35 entries.

Well, I hope now that Halloween is over you can get into the holiday spirt. I'm already looking forward  to the holidays. It will be fun making lots of different Christmas cards.  Today is Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  I hope you run over and checked out my other blog. My design team has created some fun cards for you to look at. This week we have Teri, one of our own design team members, sponsoring us with a digi prize. Be sure to hurry over to Teri's blog.  Then from there hurry over to her delicious doodles blog. Teri has some really fun new digis for the holiday card making.

My card today is made with Teri's snowman. He was just too cute with the bird perched on his top hat. I added some rhinestones and a cute little snowflake to the hat and stickles for the snow. My paper is Die Cuts with a View.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit and reading my post. Your comments are are so sweet. Thanks for leaving them. Have a very sweet day!!!

Followed My Heart

Today is Sweet Sketch Wednesday and a late post for me. Yesterday was just one of those days. It was  a  busy day and then to top it off everything went wrong. First off I could not find my stamp that I planned on using for my card. I looked for a long time on and off through out the day. It was driving me nuts. I had lost it from the night before. I was in need of this stamp set as I was using it for a card day I am having with family members. They wanted some wedding cards. So I wanted to try this stamp.

I finally found it stuck to the back of one of the three paper packs I had out. How crazy is that. Then as I  was finally trying to get my card done the power went out and was out till one in the morning. Luckly my husband had a light the I could uses to finish my card with. Nothing like stamping in the dark.

Well I was very pleased as to how my card turned out due to all the problems that I had. Thanks also to the help of my sister by loading a few more thing's  for me.  I hope you enjoy my Wedding card.  The stamp I used was from Unity kit of the month. I really had fun using this stamp. My paper came from Die Cuts with a View.
This week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday it was a color challenge. Since it was halloween this week I also threw in a halloween color challenge. I didnt end up having time to do two card. So my card  was made with the origional color challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting my blog I really enoyed all your sweet comments last week. Hope your Hallowen is filled with sweetness and delight. Have a sweet day!!!
