Love of Hats

Splash

Well I had such a fun weekend . I haven't been any where in a long time and was able to go to Bear Lake, Utah. The lake has lots of sand on the lake side and you can make sand castles there. We went boating and jet skiing. The kids had a bast. Its such a family fun outing ever year. 

My card this week fits just perfectly with the mermaid team. This darling Digi came from Digi Stamp Boutique. Digi Stamp Boutique  is the sponsor from Sweet Sketch Wednesday site. Don't you just love how I match my paper to the scales on the mermaid? I had so much fun making that all match. Then using the  star punch to add to my embellishments. I used my Pro Markers and Copics.

Paper Roses

I just loved this image from Digi Stamp Characters. They are sponsoring my Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog with a prize. Heather's images are so sweet and fun. There are alot to choose from. As most of you know by now I love to wear hats. So when I see a cute image like this with a hat I have to have it. You will want to be sure and check out Digi Stamp Characters.

This image was so much fun to work with. I imagined having paper roses were the roses were on the hat. It was so fun making the small paper roses. I used the small scallop circle punch from Stampin Up to make the roses.

As I loaded my card for my post I realized I never added my sentiment. Which is a no no by my Dt rules. Always follow my sketch to a tee! So I definitely will need to add it. I am on the mend from being really sick. So I apologize for not sticking to my rules.

Baby Buggy

I love the vintage feel of this digi from Digi Doodle Shop. It is such a sweet image to color in. I had this vintage looking paper and felt like it would be perfect for this image. I had just received my new pro markers and the colors match perfectly. I was very excited to use them and test them out.

 

I wanted to compare pro markers to copics. I like them both in different ways. The pro markers are cheaper and I really like the fine tip and the way they blend. On the other hand Copics blend very well too but have a bigger selection on colors and the shape of the marker is not quite so fat. I really think it is probably a toss up. I will probably continute to buy both if I cant find similar colors in the pro markers.
