Cherish Christmas Memories


I just fell in love with this image from Digi Doodle Shop. It reminds me so much of having a real tree in my childhood. My dad worked for the Fish and Game and every year he would get a permit and bring home a real Christmas tree for your family to decorate. That has always been such a fond memory. Even though we now have gorgeous fake trees, it's just not quite the same.

    Thanks for bringing back some fond memories. It was always really nice to have the smell of fresh pine in the house at Christmas time...I can almost smell it right now thinking about it. Your card is gorgeous Arlana. I love this image as well. Your paper and stitching has added that perfect finishing touch.

    Hi Arlana! Do you know that I have never cut down my own tree after all of these years? Now that I'm in Arizona, chances of that happening are pretty slim, but thanks so much for sharing your special memories with us. Your card is terrific and so is the sketch we had to work with. Thank you!

    Hi Arlana - you're right, there's something magical about a real tree at Christmas. I'm lucky enough to always have a real tree at my boyfriend's place at Christmas. Your card is really love, it has a brilliant tradional feel about it. Loved using the sketch this week.

    What a beautiful card - I love the image. We don't do a real tree because my tradition is to decorate the tree the last weekend in November. And I am afraid a real tree just won't last that long. I do love the smell though!
