Just One Bite

 Well it's been another week and time to post my card for my Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog. I hope you had a chance to look at my patriotic post yesterday. The images that I used this week from Bugaboo Stamps were so fun. I fell in love with the ant and the apple. My sister, Judi, did the watermelon and the ant. There are lots of darling ant images at Bugaboo.

Also if you check Bugaboo site weekly you will be able to download their freebie for the week. The next card I did was a Bugaboo freebie. Most of you know by now, I own a Red VW Bug. So I had to have this fun image.

A while back I had purchased this car paper at Hobby Lobby...of course, one of my favorite stores. I was there the other day and they still carried this paper. I love how cute this image is and how it turned out. Don't you?

In a few days we will be celebrating the 4th of July. I wanted to create a card for this occasion. As I was looking to find new sponsors I came across a sight named Sassy Cheryl's . She has the sweetest images. Judi and I fell in love with them. So we decided to each buy an image to make a card.

I wasn't sure what I was going to do for a sketch so I started from scratch as if I were designing it on the computer for Sweet Sketch Wednesday. I wanted to use my new deckle nestie that I bought about a month ago. I also bought a new Cuttlebug embossing plate with the stars. It was so much fun seeing how this embossed. The stars are just so fun.

I have fond memories as a child celebrating the fourth of July with my family. Our Bountiful park always had consession stands there. Before going to the park we watched a parade. I also continued my celebrations at the same park as my children grew up. When the childern were older we would go to the junior high school on the hill and take a picnic and watch the fireworks. I will always cherish those sweet memories.

I am very thankful for my freedoms and for a God who watches over us and our country. I hope you will all have a enjoyable 4th and celebrate it with the ones you cherish and love.

Live Groovy

Well I was so excited when Shirley 2 Girls said they would sponsor Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Their digis are just so different and so sweet and so fun. I had a blast working with their images. I just had to have the VW bug image. My ribbon on my card was perfect for this image. My car is red but one of these days you may actually see flowers on my car. It would be fun to have a convertible. Mine, however, has a sun roof which is also fun.

I had alot of sweet Ladies apply for my DT call. So I decided to end the call and pick my new DT. There were alot of sweet entires but I could not pick everyone which made it really a hard decision. Just Clowning Around

Sweet Sketch Wednesday Anniversary Blog Hop

Can you believe it's been one year since I started this Sweet Sketch Wednesday Blog and shortly before that... my Sweetberry Designs blog.

Part of what made me want to do this is that I am a designer and have had several things published. I knew there were alot of talented ladies out there that could use a "fun out" for the week. So I started playing with my photo shop program. I first thought it was kind of hard figuring out how to get a good looking sketch . I almost gave up. But usually anything to do with crafting or creating my own design, I don't give up. I finally came up with a main design for my sketch that I thought would work. Thus we now are one year into this. I am so happy to do this although my husband say it does not make me any money. So I hope you have enjoyed the ride with me and hopefully I can come up with many more sketches.

I was pretty excited about this offer. They had so many choices. I looked for hours and will be looking again as I found several things I would like.

Oh Boy Happy Birthday

The other day when I was getting my link for my Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog I  decided to check out inlinkz some more. In doing so I came across their blog and they were doing a birthday boy contest. I thought why not I have a perfect image that I used this week for my vintage peddle car. I had a color pallet to follow plus it had to be a birthday card for a boy. I actually love this color combo. It was so fun re doing my vintage  peddle car again. This time it more bold and bright and not so vintage. I love the fun colors and how it turned out. Well this is a contest so I hope you will go and vote after the 7th if you  like my card.

Vintage Peddle Car

Our sponsor this week for Sweet Sketch Wednesday is Digi Doodle Shop. When they asked if they could sponsor I was so excited because right away I loved their images. She has alot of images with a vintage feel. Although I have not done alot of vintage cards I love that style. While looking for an image to use I found several and had a hard time choosing. I liked way too many. But when it finally came down to it I had to choose the peddle car. I was so glad that I did. It was so much fun to use that I knew I had to do two cards.

The first thing I thought about when I saw the peddle car was childhood memories. I had a blue peddle car when I was little. I even think there is a picture floating around some where of me with the peddle car. But I didn't have time to go and look. Oh the fun momories of that car. While I couldn't quite come up with the right blue for my card, I still did a light turquoise blue. When I saw that paper I kew that would be perfect as it had such a vintage feel to me.

Well since the days of my peddle car. I now own a big Red VW Bug which still reminds me of my blue peddle car....thus having to create the red card. I love how it turned out also.
